Just Call Scott is a veteran owned and operated company that was born out of desperation, built on faith, and developed with love. Based in Knoxville, TN and servicing the surrounding counties Just Call Scott has sparked a local movement within the communities with how they are building a sustainable business model geared towards giving back to the community. With future plans to have a storefront and warehouse for both adding value to the company but also providing a place where people in the community can fulfill their wishes through the Junk Genie.

Just Call Scott is led by its co-founders, Scott Suter and Ivana Suter, who formed the company in 2020, with the original idea of just making some side cash.

Scott served six years in the Marine Corps and was medically discharged a month after 9/11. Finding a job during that time proved to be difficult so he settled in the construction industry. Never intending to stay in that industry, twenty years later and COVID hit and an opportunity came to exit that industry. In 2020 he started college and needed to find a way to supplement his income while going to school. Realizing, there was a need for people, that didn’t have a truck, he started taking on side jobs while maintaining the flexibility needed to go to school. After a short time Scott decided to start a business as more work was coming in. In the next year the business kept on growing and as his calendar was filling up rapidly, he decided to put school on hold to work more on the business. Finding out that not only did he love this business, but what he loved more was being able to collect gently used items and give to people in need. Seeing their faces when they were able to get the help that they were so desperately needing was a huge blessing and then Junk Genie was born. Over the course of 2022 he was able to solidify partnerships with ministries like Focus Ministries, Compassion Closet, Epperson Ministries, Bee The Positive, and the Joy School of Music just to name a few. These ministries and businesses allow for Just Call Scott to have the outlets to reach those in need of gently used and sometimes brand new items. Very happily married to Ivana and having four world changing kids, Scott is blessed to have a loving family and all of the support he needs and to make this dream a reality.
